How do I book the villa?
|
Check our
availability and then either email us at
flh@uwm.co.uk or ring us on 0113-2310202
(daytime) or 0113-2269171 (evening). You will be asked to complete a
booking form and pay a deposit of £75.00 per week. The balance is due
10 weeks prior to your departure.

What is the
minimum length of stay?
|
7 nights.

Do you offer last
minute discounts?
Yes we do. From time we have
late availability and cancellations. You can find full details of these by going to our
Special Offers page. All Special Offers must be
paid in full.

Do I need a Fly
Drive or Flight Only?
|
You can book either. You
will probably find that there is very little difference in price between booking your car separately
and purchasing a Fly Drive. In our experience, we think you will find it more
convenient if you ensure that you pick up and drop off your car at the airport.
If you need suggestions for flights
and car hire, we can help with companies we have used in the past.

Why do I need to
pay a Security Bond?
|
As with all villas, occasionally
damage does occur and we need to hold a small deposit against the cost of these
repairs.
|
Is a car
essential?
|
Although, you can utilise the
service of taxis, we would strongly recommend that you have your own vehicle to fully
appreciate everything the area has to offer.
GETTING THERE
|
How far is the villa from the
airport?
|
The villa is approximately 30
miles (30-40 minutes drive) from Orlando International Airport and 50 miles (50-60 minutes
drive) from Orlando Sanford Airport.
|
How do I get to the villa from
the airport?
|
Before your departure, we provide
you with full driving directions from both airports. Both routes utilise a relatively
quiet Toll Road for the majority of the journey.
|
What time can we get in the
villa?
|
Check-in time is 4pm to enable the villa to be
fully prepared for you.
|
What time do we leave the
villa?
|
Check-out time is 10am.
|
How do I get into the villa?
|
The door is operated by a
combination lock. Prior to your departure, we will give you the latest combination. We
find this feature particularly useful where more than one family is using the villa.
It also means you don't have to worry about losing your key!
ABOUT THE VILLA

What is provided in the
villa?
|
We provide everything you will
need including cutlery, crockery, kitchen utensils, hand and bath towels,
hairdryers, safes, CD player, DVD player (with DVDs), XBox (with
games), air hockey, pool furniture and pool inflatables.
|
How deep is the pool?
|
The pool depth ranges from
approximately 3 feet to 6 feet deep.
|
What if something goes wrong
in the villa?
|
Our management company are on hand
24 hours a day to handle any emergencies that may occur. You will find
their number displayed in the villa.
|
Do I need the pool heating?
|
This is all down to personal
taste. From October to May, most guests choose to have the pool heated. During
the summer months, some still have the heating but others prefer a nice cool pool on a
hot day!

Can I make telephone calls
from the villa?
|
Yes.
All local, long distance and international landline calls made from
the villa are free.
|
Can I use the Internet in the
villa?
|
Yes. The villa has
wireless internet so you can surf the Internet from anywhere inside (or
outside) the villa. If you want to use this facility, we will provide
you with full instructions before you depart.
|
Is there somewhere to put my
valuables?
|
Yes. There are two safes in the
villa.
SHOPPING, EATING OUT AND ATTRACTIONS
|
How close is Walt Disney
World?
|
Walt Disney World is about 5 miles
(10 minutes drive) from the villa. We will provide details of a
shortcut to Disney that avoids the major highways. Where we are
situated you will not need to drive on either the US27 or US192 to get to
Disney. If you have been to Orlando before you will now how much heavy
peak time traffic this can avoid, especially the morning crawl to Disney on
the 192.

Are there shops and
restaurants in the area?
|
Within a 5 to 10 minute drive
there are numerous shops, supermarkets, restaurants and fast food outlets.
|
I've heard that there is
great shopping in the USA. Is this true?
|
It certainly is. In the
Orlando area there are a number of factory outlets and shopping malls. Directions to all these places are
contained in a folder in the villa.
|
Where can I buy
tickets for theme parks?
|
We have arranged for a local
reputable ticket agency to provide you with all theme park and dinner show
tickets.
|
Where do I buy groceries?
|
There are three supermarkets
plus a brand new Wal-Mart locally, and numerous 7-Eleven type convenience stores.
|
What are the Disney Parks?
|
Walt Disney World has four theme
parks; Magic Kingdom, EPCOT Center, Disney-MGM Studios and Animal Kingdom.
|
What are the different
Water Parks?
|
Walt Disney World has two water
parks; Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon.
Aquatica is the newest water park
in the area and is on International Drive opposite Sea World.
Wet 'n' Wild is situated at the top
of International Drive.
|
What other theme parks are
there apart from Disney World?
|
The other theme parks in the area
are Discovery Cove (where you can swim with dolphins), Sea World and Universal Orlando which comprises two theme parks; Universal
Studios and Islands of Adventure. Down in Tampa is Busch Gardens.

What can I do apart from
the theme parks?
|
In addition to the theme parks,
there are numerous other ways of passing your time.
Some (but not all) are:

Disney (Disney-themed restaurant and shopping area)

Island (Disney-operated collection of night clubs, bars and restaurants)
City Walk
(Universal-operated collection of night clubs, bars and restaurants)
Golf (The
Orlando area has numerous golf courses at varying prices)

Airboat rides
Hot air
balloon rides
Go-Karting
Gatorland
(small theme park based around alligators and Floridian wildlife)
Holy Land
Experience (small theme park based on bible scriptures)
Themed Dinner
Shows (various themes)
Visit the
coast. (The east coast is approximately 60 miles away and the west coast 70
miles)

How will I find my way
around?
|
In the
villa there is a folder with helpful information about the villa and surrounding
area. It contains driving directions to all the main attractions, restaurants
and shopping.

What if I need medical
attention?
|
Close to the villa, there is a
walk-in doctors' surgery operated by Centra-Care. Close by, in
Celebration, is a new fully equipped hospital.
